Rev. David Bliss, retired pastor of the ELCA-Northwestern Ohio Synod and Stuart Smith are the organizers of the trip.  Rev. Bliss has the experience of leading 13 trips and Stuart Smith has helped lead 5 trips.  This trip is under the sponsorship of Christian Mission for Dodoma, Inc., a 501(c)3 independent charitable organization.

Mission Trip Opportunities

• Attending Installation for New Bishop of Dodoma Diocese
• Visiting a congregation of the Diocese and meeting Tanzanian Christians 
• Mission project of sorting and distributing school supplies

Cost is estimated to be $3,600 (Includes airfare, room and board, safari expenses).

There will be six mission trip preparation sessions beginning April 19, 2009 (first session is an informational meeting). Unfortunately, due to the late dates, a planned safari trip to Ruaha National Park could not be arranged, as they close for the season at the end of October.
